cophasing usuccessful due to late start with fixing distortion on beam 4 due to pzt mirror mount
observed HD 187691 A (cal,6T), delta del  (6T)
observed hd 205776 (cal, 5T) , MWC 361 A (4T), HD 205776 (cal, 5T)

spent afternoon trying to minimize pickup-noise (rf inteference? ground issues) on MIRC readout using new mirc_rfcheck and mirctest.script
environment seemed cleaner when I hooked MIRC grounding cable to the champ electronics box (because this box is connected to grounding pipe with 3 more chokes).
but at 8pm approximately we were hit with a bunch of new peaks, even worse than last night.. so not sure how to deal with this.  in the end I put the grounding back as last night but still worse than before... We will monitor through the night. VERY frustrating !!
we observed 2 setes of MWC 361, even some 5T but conditions were poor and B2 alignment of champ was bad.

First calibrator HD 167768 (cal for mwc 297). We will setup mirc, champ, and cophase on this target.. we hve until about midnight.

  • 9:00pm Aligned MIRC. Beam 3(S1) and B5 (E2) are low in flux W2 is worst image quality (elonagted)
  • 9:30pm Trying to align CHAMP.
  • he observed hd 205776 (5T), mwc 361 (4t), del del (3t)..
  • See paper logs for more details
