spent afternoon trying to minimize pickup-noise (rf inteference? ground issues) on MIRC readout using new mirc_rfcheck and mirctest.script | |||
environment seemed cleaner when I hooked MIRC grounding cable to the champ electronics box (because this box is connected to grounding pipe with 3 more chokes). | |||
but at 8pm approximately we were hit with a bunch of new peaks, even worse than last night.. so not sure how to deal with this. in the end I put the grounding back as last night but still worse than before... We will monitor through the night. VERY frustrating !! | |||
we observed 2 setes of MWC 361, even some 5T but conditions were poor and B2 alignment of champ was bad. | |||

First calibrator HD 167768 (cal for mwc 297). We will setup mirc, champ, and cophase on this target.. we hve until about midnight.
- 9:00pm Aligned MIRC. Beam 3(S1) and B5 (E2) are low in flux W2 is worst image quality (elonagted)
- 9:30pm Trying to align CHAMP.
- he observed hd 205776 (5T), mwc 361 (4t), del del (3t)..
