&lt;br /&gt;
Put the plato-concax lens in to the c mount window, let the plato surface face the&lt;br /&gt;
incoming collimated beam.  I use an iris to cut the beam to be around 1mm size,&lt;br /&gt;
and rotate the camera to make sure the reflected pupil matches the incoming pupil&lt;br /&gt;
(&amp;lt; 1mm offset over 1.5 meter distance). &lt;br /&gt;
Since the focus of the lens is not exactly 17.5 mm, the image&lt;br /&gt;
on the detector is a spread circle. The center of the circle is not necessary on the &lt;br /&gt;
optical axis of the lens because the incoming beam could be offset. So then I increase&lt;br /&gt;
the iris to let the beam fully illuminate the lens. I get an even larger circle on the detector,&lt;br /&gt;
but this time the center of the image should be on the optical axis of the lens.&lt;br /&gt;
